Penny Thomson Works is a micro family business run by artist and designer Penny Thomson and her daughters, Briony and Maud. With over 40 years’ experience, Penny creates intricate, original moving miniatures inspired by nature, imagination and mechanical magic. Briony manages marketing and administration, while Maud works alongside Penny in the workshop and handles dispatch.
The team is committed to sustainable, imaginative and innovative design, using recycled, reused and repurposed materials wherever possible—transforming discarded treasures into completely unique works of art. After several pieces reached viral status, demand for Penny’s work has grown significantly, but every miniature remains handmade from start to finish, retaining the distinctive touch of Penny’s hand.
