Diana Green

Diana Green is a Derbyshire-based artist whose practice explores trees, landscape and the deeper connections between nature, mythology and place. Working primarily with painting and drawing, she creates atmospheric, ethereal works inspired by the forms and character of trees and the stories and folklore that surround them. A particular concern is the protection and preservation of ancient and mature trees, celebrating their presence as living records of the landscapes they inhabit.

An important part of Diana’s practice is her commitment to making art in ways that have minimal environmental impact. She makes her own paints and inks from locally sourced earth and natural pigments, alongside reusing and recycling materials wherever possible. Her practice extends into workshops and demonstrations, sharing natural paint-making and observational drawing techniques and encouraging a closer, more thoughtful relationship with the natural world.
